Significance of wedding photo-shoots?????

so what is a philosophy behind having a “wedding photo-shoot”?
i meant photographer asks the couple to do all the weird poses, which not only turn out amazing but they do show some chemistry between the couple.

but what purpose do they serve in the long run. do couples actually sit and see those pictures? and do they really worth the money couples (or their parents) spend on em?

ps. my friend had her photo-shoot, though on the wedding day, but it was way before she had her nikkah.

Re: wedding photo-shoots?????

:hehe:

my brother got married for about 10 years mashaALLAH say, and he haven’t bother to see any of his wedding picture. even though he bought nikon f60 especially for it.

Re: wedding photo-shoots?????

men don't like looking at pictures anyway........well this is the case with my husband. :@:

I think photoshoot may be one of the most durable wedding expense. It lasts for years, Alot of people get to see it, who may not have been present at the actual event (like your children), you do end up looking at it a lot of times (more than the number of times you wear your shadi jora for example) and also it doesnt cost that much . keeping all this into account , i think one should get it done.
P.S
I've heard its also a lot of fun getting your pictures taken like that. i havent had it done just yet so wouldnt know.

Re: wedding photo-shoots?????

why not? i think marriage is one of the most important day in ones life, so why not have some good snaps from the day. and normally you get married once in a life time!

Re: wedding photo-shoots?????

Usually on your wedding day is the BEST you have ever looked in your entire life (hair, makeup done, wedding glow, gorgous outfit etc.). It is also one of the happiest days of your life. All this shines through in the photoshoot.

When you are old, fat and wrinkly, will you not love to look back at those photos as a memory of how good you looked in your youth (especially on your wedding day)? It is also something you can show your grandchildren who would have never seen you in your "fresh days."

Its hard to watch horror movie twice . . . isn’t it :cb:
