i wonder how long it took the author of that document to write that up. Now if we can get similar, eloquently-worded manifestos regarding condemning intolerance and racism, kindness towards orphans, charity towards neighbours, descriptions of how Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) treated his wives - then perhaps we would be closer towards implementing more Islamic principles of justice and equity towards all…rather than worrying upon a female picture on a piece of plastic or cardboard.

Nothing new here. Same old, same old.
The assualt on women as individual free beings continues in Pakistan. Notice how the MMA mullah types are after women in particular (anything to do with women). They seem to be fixated on women. Perhaps the lack of interaction with women has created this craze in them to go after women.
Like Nadia mentioned earlier, if the same efforts these mullah types put in beating down women could be put into education, eradicating corruption, equal justice, ending class system, religious harmony, giving women the rights guaranteed by Islam, etc. maybe we could have a society that could show the world what Islam is all about.
Alas, these people are making sure that Islam is representative of repression against women. What social change will come about by making sure no women pictures make it into advertising. By eradicating the existence of women from all spheres of public life, these mullahs what to ensure that women become second class citizens living in a world where no one sees them or hears from them.
