Although by the time you get to certain tasks, the others may come to an end. For example, by the time you turn off the tap and tend to the baby.....the phone can stop ringing and the person at the door could have left.
I almost picked the baby first...but then figured it only takes a second to turn off the tap (don't want to create a bigger mess and possible hazard in the kitchen) and then tend to the baby. The mess in the kitchen can be tended to a bit later. Phone calls can be returned at a later time. This kind of stuff is fun to read...but I don't think it's too valid.
