Sighting of moon or just drama

as most mullahs our most brothers sister and myself claims islam is sceintific religion then why mullahs or government or whoever is fooling the nation in form of ruitay halal jin ko hamaisha chand two or three days baad hi nazar aata hai

Good question. In fact religion and science are oxymorons. Here is why.

  1. Religions are meant to keep alive the old traditions (oftentimes for 1000s of years).
  2. Science is meant to challenge the traditions all the time. Even a day old tradition can get thrown out, if someone can prove a better way of doing things.

Moon sighting is a tradition, and thus incompatible with using scientifically produced calendars.

That's why we have this clash between moon-sighters and calendarars.

This clash will continue as long as

A- Moon-sighters have power to create street violence.
B- large majority in Pakistan remains primitive and thus oblivious to the need of strict and predictable schedules.
