YEP! you totally can…once you get used to swype you literally don’t need to look at the screen. I don’t text all that much and even I send short texts while driving (don’t kill me) without looking. So I’m sure those who use it more often would be able to text without looking at a much faster speed then me. I believe Niksik said she texts without looking.

Yes they do but I personally have not looked into them. I am hoping some other members who know more about android phones with keyboard can make some recommendations.

Yes I can swype without looking, but when driving, if I absolutely have to have to have to text, then I use the voice feature. We need to use all our features now, don’t we?

Regarding phones with keyboards, well there’s many Android phones with keyboards such as the Samsung SideKick and Captivate Glide, Motorola Droid4 etc etc… and it also depends on what your service provider carries if you’re sticking to your plan.

Why do you want a physical keyboard? I went through the same resistance once but honestly, if you’re investing in a smartphone, you want to be able to have all sorts of features, not JUST the keyboard. And so you’ll ask me, which is the best Android smartphone and I tell you the Galaxy S3 in my sleep. It’s a complete package. The keyboarding experience is amazing once you get a hang of it. Any new system takes a while to learn. But if you are looking to switch, then why not go for the best that’s out there given that the top smartphones are pretty much in the same price range.
