"…the Prophet’s saying: “onsor akhaka
thaleman ao mathlooman” (side by your brother whether he is oppressor or
oppressed, and by the way, to the non-Muslims or those who don’t know,
siding by your oppressing brother was explicitly explained by the Prophet
by stopping him from carrying out his oppression, and since there is
heaven and hell, you are really siding by him if you stop him from going
to hell by encouraging him to be just). "

Narrated Anas:
Allah's Apostle said, "Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one. People asked, "O Allah's Apostle! It is all right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing others."
