Be happy with what you have whatever colour you have at least you dont have severe acne like me, i have very fair skin and its a lot worse with this acne, i have lots of scars and i just want to peel my damn skin off. even my own mum said that ive gone ugly lol
so if you are of those stupid girls complaining about your skin colour and dont have severe acne like me, I curse you. I wish that tomorrow you wake up with bad acne, cysts scars all over your face, then you’ll have a real thing to complain about.
dammit i got jealous of this 50 year obese woman on the train the other day because she had better skin than me.

Great topic you started Amazonkuri on the fair skin. I also want talk seriously and personally about that. Dears I am having problems for long time in life. Please tell me how to make my skin fair coz life is too much easy for the fair ones. My mother in law keep saying I am blackie. I ask her why then you marry me your son. She not answer me. Instead she shouting on me i have lambi zubaan. What o do? Please dears, suggest me easy and quick way to be fair. Don't say white paint. I try already. Thanks dears.

Nah, but the insecure girls here are more annoying than that. The "I'm a doctor/engineer and people say I look like insert foreign ethnicity here but I feel bad about myself because so and so rejected me and now I don't know what to do with myself. I take that back, it's my fault for assuming intelligence correlates with common sense.

You can’t believe dear, but I try already. When it heavy rains, it all come off. I was laughing mazaaq in the whole bazaar. Can’t show my face there again. And my MIL, she is a zaalim. She wet her finger and write rude words on my chalk-up face. Can you belive? So cruel.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this......but thanks to chemical peels....you actually do have the option of literally peeling your skin off to get rid of (or at least minimize) the acne scars.

The common sense to see what's wrong with their own train of thought. Perhaps I should have said self-esteem? I can see how one would feel bad if constantly badgered about how ugly one is but to feel insecure and have mental breakdowns because one or two Amit or Hassans don't wanna get with you? Bro stop.

^The badgering starts WAAAAAAAAAY before Amit and Hassan show up for chai with their scrutinizing mothers and sisters in tow. Criticism and lamentations over a less than chitti chambri from mommy and dadi/khalas/phuppos/tayis/chachis/cousins...and comments from family "friends", and the commercials that guarantee you'll get the job or rishta if you're a few shades lighter....and fair-skinned Cinderellas and Snow Whites, media preferences. You may not have known Amit and Hassan but for five minutes......they are strangers. People tend to seek greater acceptance from their immediate family...from those that they spent most of their time with...and when they've been frequently put down by these people...it can do a deep-rooted number on your self-esteem.

:O I wasn't singling anyone out, it's a general comment about the mindset of the white-collar south asian chicas on GS.
RV: Like I said, if someone has been conditioned since birth to think that he/she is ugly on the basis of their skin than that is indeed unfortunate. But if you know you're above average and get plenty of positive comments on your looks from others then why the insecurity? If you spot the jahiliyat of others then why let it get to you?
