To be honest, I have some shyness inside me too. Like when I'm in a conversation with a pretty girl; I have to take deep breaths, lol.

i've the same darn problem.....i'm very open minded.....i accept and respect what others think.....and there is no religion factor either.....and still i find it very hard socializing, making friends or talking to strangers.....sometimes even making an eye contact bothers me....and i don't want others to think that i'm rude or something.....this is a difficult world for shy people....u need 'people skills' everywhere....be it profession, relationships, networking etc. :o

Like you, I too am unbelieveably shy in real life, so much so that it is difficult for me to ever stop talking to friends/strangers - smiling at people - looking generally chirpy. :p
Remember: everyone loves to talk abt themselves. Ask them somthing about themselves, then sit back - smile and nod ;-)
