I can c it from the parents POV, if they know their son is generally a social person, they want someone who will be able to keep up with him and his lifestyle...there's nothign wrong with that,t hey're ony looking out for him.
They dont want to go through with the marriage, and then a year later, they're always fighting b/c he wants to go out and take her but she doesnt want to go....
i know the whle "opposites attract" thing but not when it comes to big things like lifestyle...esp when that change is for a spouse, there's bound to be resentment, somewhere down the line...
But anyways, a couple's compatibility w/ each other matters more than the girl (or guY) being compatible w/ the family or social circle etc....
