There is a guy I know who fell for this girl who is so shy that whenever she walks infront a group of people she goes red! They’ve been togather for 1year. It’s crazy I never seen anything like it before but she’s so cute and lovely! Anyhow, he went to purpose and his family didn’t approve the girl because she is too shy and she wont be able to move in the society. I mean that was the main reason! I never seen or heard anything like this my entire life! What do you guys think?
My opinion:
Am still shocked it’s heart breaking since they love each other and unfair he seems to love her and love the problem she has
maybe he needs to be more assertive and tell his family she's the one for him and thats that.
she'll probably grow out of her shell in time when she's more comfortable with his family and friends.
I can c it from the parents POV, if they know their son is generally a social person, they want someone who will be able to keep up with him and his lifestyle...there's nothign wrong with that,t hey're ony looking out for him.
They dont want to go through with the marriage, and then a year later, they're always fighting b/c he wants to go out and take her but she doesnt want to go....
i know the whle "opposites attract" thing but not when it comes to big things like lifestyle...esp when that change is for a spouse, there's bound to be resentment, somewhere down the line...
But anyways, a couple's compatibility w/ each other matters more than the girl (or guY) being compatible w/ the family or social circle etc....
desis piss me off. What a dumb reason how paindoo can you get, I mean if your son likes her don't be so nosy and let them get hitched. Parents don't always know best.

Not sure if this was their thought process behind their reasoning, but I agree with what you said. If they said it for no special reason and just for the heck of it, then it's pretty stupid.
