How can you tell if a shy guy is into you?

I think whether its someone shy or not you can tell by their actions. Actions that show respect, kindness and care can let most people know that the other person is interested.

Words account for only 7 percent of the meaning, mostly physiology, body language etc are better communication tools.

By the way, I have heard this from many ladies (or girls then) that God has given them an extra sense and they can guess these intentions easily. Moreover, the mental maturity is attained little earlier compared to guys; this also helps.

But Seriously, all guys even shy guys like a girl who is straight and to the point… And even shy guys aren’t so shy when it comes to texting, so you can easily find out if there into you via text. Thirdly If he’s always looking at you, and every time you see him notice you he turns his head. He likes you…

Even the shyest guys will at some time approach a girl and eventually get married. That said, if nothing is happening…then he’s not interested. I’ve been through the whole decoding of body language and signs…especially during my teens…where one makes a big deal out of whether a guy is staring at you, or is caught looking at you and then looking away, or smiles at you, etc etc. It’s a waste of time and energy. If he likes you, he’ll do something about it. And if he has approached you, then he’ll maintain contact and stick around. And that interest should be measured by something more concrete than his body language at a distance. If you have to try to figure out whether or not he’s interested, then he’s likely not.

He does make the effort it’s just he gets shy and awkward when we are together with lots of silent pauses in our conversations.

He is a mashriqi ladka but still may have that “kuch kuch hota hai” feeling. The best way is to befriend him. Start conversations more often on diversified topics. Once he gets comfortable I’m sure you both can say whatever you want to each other.
