shud there be another protest?

the first one did have an effect, it was little but ppl have made their voice heard. but not that america n uk seems to be more desperate than ever .. is there a need for another world wide protest?
do u think it will have more or less effect than the first one?

Waste of time the first round. Waste of time if you do it again, unless you want to attend a party.

Today is the day for virtual march to Washington. Americans against the war are being encouraged to phone, fax, email their representatives.

I'm all in favor of another protest. I am particularly amused by the pictures of the homeless enticed to march by the gift of a few cigarettes and various bubble-heads being interviewed who can't even elucidate the reasons why they are marching or provide any answers to the simplest of questions posed to them regarding Saddam and Iraq. It's like The Gong Show all over again.

There will be many more anti-war protests in the coming days.. Millions of people from all walks of life have already marched against war including:

Ex-Military personnel
UN officials
Politicians
Doctors
Nurses
Firemen
Ambulance Workers
Lecturers
Professors
Teachers
Lawyers
Civil Servants
IT Professionals
Office Workers
Factory Workers
Housewives
Students
Pacifists
Religious Clergy
Catholics
Protestants
Muslims
Hindus
Jews
Bhuddists
Sikhs

Even middle America is against the war. :k:

what do u think can this second protest will accomplish? any ideas or predictions?

Based upon what occured at the first protest, I predict the guys and gals selling marijuana will have another very profitable day. :smokin:

Why do you even bother if you dont know what is going on? I will explain this once. The protests mean nothing to Bush like appeasement meant nothing to hitler. Comprende?

Public opinion is very important especially when coming up to election time. The elected Governments cannot afford to alienate their support base otherwise they will ultimately be thrown out of office at the next election. In the US, Bush's support base has become eroded in recent weeks and his popularity is decreasing, the American public is sick and tired of listening to the war mongering propoganda being broadcast, they are now realising that many of the accusations against Iraq have turned out to be unsubstantiated or completely baseless. The whole Iraq saga has been sensationalised by the Bush Administration and has been propogated by certain news channels which have strong links to the Republican party. These protests are making a difference, in many countries the Governments are taking into consideration this public reaction, we have especially seen this occur in Germany and France. So the answer is YES this second protest can make a difference.

How is protesting against war appeasement to Bush?
It is more like an appeasement to Saddam Hussain...and yes you are right it did not work with Hitler and it won't work with Saddam.
