shuiab akhtar was not penalised for using the four-letter word with jayawardene (after having him caught off a bouncer when he had hit him a SIX earlier)…

but lucky for shuaib, the referee took no action…
i thought he will get atleast 3 matches fine and lose all his money at sharjah for that…

That may be so but his bowling action has been reported again. Read the following:

Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has been reported for a suspect action during the recent Sharjah Champions Trophy tournament, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Wednesday.

The report was filed to the game's governing body by South African match referee Denis Lindsay and umpires Rudi Koertzen of South Africa and George Sharp of England.

Pakistan won the Sharjah tournament with a five-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the final last Sunday, a match in which 26-year-old Shoaib took three for 33.

Shoaib, nicknamed the Rawalpindi Express and among the fastest bowlers in the world, must now work with a specialist ICC bowling advisor to analyse the concerns raised.

The ICC said they would name the advisor imminently, and that an assessment of Shoaib's action would be submitted to the ICC and the Pakistan Cricket Board within three months.

*During this period Shoaib can continue to play international cricket, the ICC said. *

Shoaib's bowling action was questioned in March this year when he was reported by umpires Doug Cowie and Steve Dunne during a one-day international in New Zealand.

He subsequently went through an intensive rehabilitation programme in which he remodelled his action under the guidance of Dennis Lillie and Australian bowling coach Daryl Foster.

``It looks really weird but the thing is I was born like this,'' Shoaib said at the time.

``There is a lot of movement in my elbow and shoulder. It is hyper-extendable and looks weird to umpires, but I am not a chucker.''

If Shoaib is reported for a third time in a 12 month period, he could be banned from playing international cricket for a year.

Shoaib was also reported in December 1999 during the third test against Australia when New Zealand match referee John Reid questioned the legality of his action.

He was banned by the ICC but the decision was reversed soon afterwards by ICC president Jaghmohan Dalmiya of India.

*Shoaib made his test debut against West Indies in 1997-98 and has taken 46 wickets in 16 tests. *

well i dont knw why was he saw so aggressive, he even showed the middle finger aslo, it was Wasim who just saved him i guess!

The guy has no class.. he is no more than a Gunda . Badmaesh type .. PCB should have fined and disciplined him for his behavior.. I guess that’s the only English word he has learned so far .... it’s a matter of a series or two before he is gonna breakdown again .. he cant even bowl five overs in a row .. he should be playing street cricket not international cricket .. no character, no discipline, no sportsman spirit, no professionalism, no future , no game, .. just whole lot of trash

That whole lot of trash has won more games than you would have been able to achieve in your lifetime rooster.

He's a match winner and being a fast bowler - he tends to get carried away which is natural. He's not a sheep - like the majority of world cricketers - rather hes a tiger and thats why he has so many fans around the world.

Figures with Koertzen around that they would come up with something or the other.

Anyway, he will continue to play and will be cleared yet again.

I don`t get the point why only asians are penalized and not the europeans. What happened to Shane warne and Mark waugh even though they confessed in public.
