shrink

All my life I fought clothes that shrunk or I got bigger (I can never tell which one was truly the reason) but now I want the opposite to happen. I want to shrink some of my jeans, sweaters, shirts etc. Any ideas? I tried hot and then cold washes, drying them in the sun, even doing that a couple of times over, still didn’t help.

Re: shrink

to shrink jeans wash them in really hot water...then dry them on high heat and leave em in the dryer afterwards.....i left mine for 2 hrs. worked for me
cotton usually shinks easily..but its hard to shrink Synthetics
oh and you can also throw in a dryel sheet. it helps the fabrics shrink faster

Re: shrink

I leaft my jeans overnight! Didn't help.

Re: shrink

ahmadjee bhaijaan, what kinda leecher jeans have you bought yourself? I mean what do you want us to do? boil them for you?

Re: shrink

Re: shrink

Waii do you vant to ishrink them in first place? :-| If u r trying to save some buck due to not altering them, they will shrink in other places too, will u be pestering us then "how can I unshrinkofy my jeans?"

Re: shrink

lol@ replies!!

i have a solution..why not just return them for a size that fits :cb:

Re: shrink

Pink I will try the dryel sheet. Thanks.

And I didn’t buy my clothes big, either I am getting thinner or the clothes are getting bigger. :gumpy:

Re: shrink

My hubby says, i am very good at shrinking all his clothes. All i do is wash them in warm water in a long cycle and dry them at very high temp for about 45 minutes and viola...you have shrinked clothes and than we have a major "Fight" over me shrinking his new clothes.

So, Ahmadjee, if you want send them over coz you are dealing with an expert clothes shrinker:)

Re: shrink

Buy a magic wand and try some magic on it if the dryer part doesnt work. Watch Harry Potter for some more ideas.

Re: shrink

aJ
I think wo iss liye shrink nahi ho rahin kyon k wo
already shrink ho chuki hoon gi, when you washed em the very first time.

Re: shrink

You know, most clothes today, especially jeans are already preshrunk, so washing them may not make much of a difference. You can always take them to the tailor and have them fitted.
