shrimps are lil creature while prawn i think is lobster which is bigger but they do look alike. they are two different species of crustacens.

no.. it’s just shrimp in the US and prawns in the UK.
we have all sizes of prawn, from tiny little ones to large tiger prawns.

both prawn and shrimp are halal.
suhaina, don't get confused. just think of them as the same thing as they almost are.
It's just people who study marine life have decided to start using 'prawn' for the freshwater type and 'shrimp' for the saltwater type.
for consumers who are going to eat them, it doesn't really matter what name they are given.
