Shrimp Linguine

A bunch of medium sized, peeled, de-veined uncooked shrimp
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
5 tablespoons of unsalted butter
red pepper flakes
1 lemon - juiced and zested
Italian flat-leaf parsley or cilantro
1/3 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of GOOD Parmesan cheese - the block of cheese with a rind, not the Kraft junk
cooked linguine pasta
salt and pepper

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium to medium-low heat and add the garlic to it. Do NOT let the garlic brown, just wait until it gets fragrant. Burnt garlic is bitter and disgusting and will ruin your entire meal. When the garlic is ready add your shrimp, a dash of red pepper flakes (or more if you like it spicy), salt and freshly-ground black pepper and cook until it just begins to curl up and turn pink. Just before the shrimp is done cooking, add the lemon juice. Take the shrimp out of the skillet and set aside once done. To the same skillet, add the heavy cream and more butter if needed. Let it simmer and reduce until slightly thickened. Add lemon zest and the Parmesan cheese (save a little cheese to sprinkle on top at the end). Now add your cooked linguine and shrimp and toss together, add cilantro/parsley and you're done. =]

Re: shrimps

stir fry/ teryaki?

simple one - handful of medium sized shirmps marinate them in 1/4 tsp salt, cornstarch, sugar, dark soya sauce and 1/2 tsp light soya sauce for 15 mins. 1 to 2 cloves garlic crushed fry them till you smell garlic, add in the marinated shirmp fry till all curled up/pink ..... goes well with plain rice/bread ...
