Ive been told since bachpan to not take a shower and then go out (unless its like 100 degrees outside)…does it really make someone sick? not true?

Yes you can catch a cold if you go out without blowdrying your hair...and I'm living proof of that! :(

you dont catch cold from being in cold places/weather. you catch cold from being around people with a cold.

It's a myth. If that was the case, then you'll have millions of gym goers struck down with illness. Most people shower and go!

I am terrible. Every morning is a mad rush for me to make the train to get into work and I always shower in the mornings. So here I am in -15 celsius weather with wet hair waiting for the train. My hair literally "freezes" - added to which I rarely wear a hat.
Knock on wood - I haven't gotten sick - but just my luck, come Monday morning, it'll happen.

i suppose if u are dripping wet and outside in not enough layers in freezing weather ..yes u will get sick due to hypothermia
most ppl though dray themselves, wear warm clothes and then venture outside.
now quit making excuses maili, and go take a shower....seriously...please.

It depends if ur used to it or not, children who play in mud rain and filth r less likely to get ill compared to kids who r kept super clean. as long as ur dressed appropriately u wont get ill

Oh no, its not a myth. Have not you heard of the famous 'headache excuse' .. .its all because they know they have to take shower at the end.
