If they listen, are they any better than the ghulam?
Your ghulam hasn't dealt with court cases on charges of murder, fraud, and thievery the way these guys have. Amazing, its come to this that people can't recognize a criminal for being a criminal anymore.
Conversely it's come to this that generals who commit high treason get praised as patriots. The distinction is this, criminals go to jail for a time, they serve their time and are let out, people who violate the constitution get hanged.
Re: Should Zardari have rushed to go meet the US ambassador?
the yanks, brits are all lobbying hard for the PPP and PML-N to not oust their ghulam
Zakk bro! Sad to say your message is filled with negativity. Instead of giving Pakistanis hope for a better future, this message surely will lead to chaos.
FYI! US and UK are begging and pleading that Pakistanis don't go the way Afghanis have gone.
Those tribals are so nutz that they would rather burn down their homes, but come hell or high water they wouldn't work together for the betterment of their country.
Pakistanis too are showing Afghaniat to the fullest extent.
It is time to listen to US and UK, otherwise NATO will be distributing food and water to Pakistanis just like they are doing to the wretched country to the West.
It is easy to accuse someone of ghulami, it is mighty hard to work for peace in the country.

Did Afghanis hold elections? Did their parties work closely? Are they uniting on issues?

Are Pakistani parties fighting each other? Or do you mean they are not showing willingness to bend as much as you'd like them to?

And how hard did Musharraf work for peace in the country? Let the new coalition/government settle in and see if they pull a gun against each other a la Afghaniat before handing out your verdict.
Re: Should Zardari have rushed to go meet the US ambassador?
I once thought you post stuff after you read... now read the highlighted part above. Do you have time of the meeting to share?
I once thought you read all replies carefully. As you missed it, I payed a compliment to Zardari by saying. * '**I guess Zardari will save costs of 2 AM calls by meeting them in person regularly.' *:)
Re: Should Zardari have rushed to go meet the US ambassador?
so according your financial calculations he will save cost of a call by meeting personally, alright. BTW, its not Zardari meeting them (he didn’t go meet them), they met with Zardari, just thought to make it clear.
Re: Should Zardari have rushed to go meet the US ambassador?
People were wanting Musharraf out of power, because of his close work with the US - that people wanted Pakistani policy to be Pakistan-centric rather than American-centric.
Thats maybe the least to worry about. There are many other factors and one of the most significant and disturbing: He is a dictator.

If he is a dictator then why would PPP and PML (N) allow him to administrate oath to the PPP and PML (N) chosen PM and Cabinet Ministers. If he is a dictator or an illegal President then surely PPP and PML (N) would refuse to let their government ministers take oath from great President Musharaf?
