Re: should we not go to peshawar?
probably better suited in the travel forum nadz, but I would definitely suggest any family of mine to delay their travel a few months till the situation stabilises a bit (inshallah)

Re: should we not go to peshawar?
Nadz....!
First of all I would say, Everything is from ALLAH, so the things those gona happen will happen. You can stop them by not coming to Peshawar or any part of the world.
What I said, it wont mean that I dont want you to be cautious, Allah has granted us with Mind and we should think of our security as well.
Lots n lots of marriages ceremonies are being celebrated daily in Peshawar. You will be amazed that on streets on roads people are still moving around as before. U wont see any sign of disaster when you come to Peshawar by looking at people and rush and vehicles congetion etc etc...
Yes... people now avoid staying out late at night now. On the back of your mind you will have worry coz if you get late you will get call from home, where r u? coz of situation.
Things are not good at all at Peshawar, and the whole Pukhtunkhwah but milions of people are living normal life there. So, I dont think you should not come to Peshawar.
Just Pray to Allah that your wedding take place in peace and happiness.
Good Luck, and Best wishes for your wedding.
:)
golden scorpion is right - life does not end just because of a bad period. if i had a chance to stay a week in peshawar i would go for it.
why dont you collect news stories from peshawar and get some ideas ofwhat life islike there exactly. that bomb on cinema road exploded some days ago - has there been any since? what was the frequency before that?
as for other crimes such as kidnapping - some are random, some are targetted. dont flash your cash around. most people in peshawar from all walks of life have a trouble free existence.
too much excessive reading and worrying does not help at all. just be wary, take precautions, thats it.
Re: should we not go to peshawar?
nadz... no bs from me.. .. situation is going to get worse in coming months around Peshawar & maybe in the city too.
As refugees are mounting everywhere, this will create more problems.. well its actually already. So caution is advised.
