Should we be in a state of wuzo when reading Quran online?

assalamoalikum :jhanda:

realistically speaking fellow muslims, when reading quran-e-paak online does one need to be in the state of wuzu (ablution)!

(off topic but) Its good to be in a state of wudu most of the time, since prayers are spread over the whole day.

very good post....

my question: do you have to have WUDHU even if you are HOLDING (physically) and reading Quran? is it FARD? Wajib? Sunnat? with references please.

From what I know, you have to have wudoo when you physically hold the mushaf (there's a hadeeth reference for this i'll see if i can look it up if someone else cant do the regular copy/paste), you can recite the quran from memory (or from your computer screen i guess) if you're in a state of minor impurity, and you can not recite it if you are in a state of major impurity (major impurity is when you have to do ghusl to be taahir, and a wudoo wont suffice).
