I don’t think it should be legalised…it might just add to the problem of human trafficking…

I also don’t feel that they should be treated with less respect…because I feel a lot of them are forced in to the situation they are in, as very young girls they could have been forced into it, raped, sexually abused at home, kidnapped, drugged into doing it…you never know what brought them to this point in their lives…and when they are older they probably don’t know how to get out of it, because they haven’t done anything different, and also am sure they are afraid of what society thinks of them…so they just stay in the whole that they are in…

Wouldn’t legalizing and regulating it prevent underage, trafficked and drugged girls from being taken advantage of. Right now this profession is illegal hence controlled by criminals. Legalizing it would cause a massive drop in revenues for the criminals, especially those who provide protection to such operations. It’d be mandatory for them to be tested for drugs and disease every six months in order to keep their licence.

As for respecting a prostitute, they deserve to be protected by the law too and legalizing the profession would help do that.

How is it going to add to the problem of human trafficking? Well it’s create a new immigration or H1B category. Prostitutes the skilled workers of today.
