Watch any one of several cable channels in Pakistan. What they show 24/7. And meet that paki public lost in singing, dancing, sleeping, eating, sh!tting, talking, dreaming anything and everything bollywood and making themselves a laughing stock at the hands of indians for being so proud of 'indian' stuff. You'll know what Im talking about.

But I have seen some Persians who are dark. Well not dark as in Wesley Snipes, but they have caucasian / arab looking features, but brown skin. They looked like they were desi, or some kind of Arab.

coming back to the topic at hand, it is silly to pretend that india/pakistan rivalry doesnt exist. Since it does, it is a perfectly valid question, regardless of whether or not persians accept us or whatever some1/anil khan are discussing.
if there is a sizable number of pakistanies in the group join it and compete against the Indians. otherwise let them have their little group and start your own South Asian Journalists Union (SAJU) with the token Indian (preferably a Dalit).

Sure; some do enjoy bollywood. But does that mean they LOOK like them? I don't think so. :)

Do Indians have this inferiority complex also about referring to themselves as something else because they are too white or something? I know they have this unending argument between them about where Indians actually came from.

This thread is actually going from bad to worse.... which is very ironical, considering the extremely stereotypical way this thread actually got started. Well done guys!
Where the Pakistanis are large in number or are few but hold some important positions, all the indians go like, "Oh we're all the same... like brothers"
Where Pakistanis are less in number or do not hold significant positions, all the indians are like... "Never give them an opportunity to rise..."

^^ Besides, indians dont do that only with Pakistanis. They do the same with every nation of the world because they are extremely diplomatic unlike ANY other nation of the world. But with Pakistanis, they sure share some 'special ties' of this sort :)
Pakistanis on the other hand are lost enjoying everything bollywood. God knows when they'll open their eyes to the reality of the so called 'friendship'.

i completely agree.
i personally havent seen any bollywood production on any kind of media since i was 11, for principled reasons 
(although just taste is enough to avoid the whole thing altogether)

I mean I do not mean to insult the indians for what they make or produce. That is their business so they will do it.
I am just referring and emphasizing that Pakistanis really must have something better in their lives to do than.... you know what.
I am not South Asian. I identify with Afghans/Persians more than desi Indians.
afghanistan IS in SOutH asia Einstein!..pathan people are pakistani and htey are south asian unless you are from iran so please stop trying to show off..

Why is it that when I visit a Pakistani store or a Pakistani Restaurant here in the US, all I see are regular kind desi looking people around me. Where are the handsome, greek looking gora Pakistanis that Anil Khan talks about ?
In my previous job, my grand boss (boss' boss) was a Pakistani. This I learnt after about 2 years on the job. From his looks as well as accent, there was no way I could tell that he was not an Indian.
In any case, "LOOKS" is irrelevant in the context of this topic (the Manipuris/Nagas in India looks like CHINESE for god sakes !!).
It is the culture that is important.....and to be convinced that Pakistanis share India's culture, all one needs to do is to go to the Life1 section of this forum. Many threads started by Pakistanis relating their personal situation seem to be straight out of "Kyonki Saas bhi kabhi Bahu thi" and other Indian soap-operas.
If our government will give u a visa come out to Lahore, or Peshawar, or Islamabad, or hell even Quetta and you’ll see the difference.
I’m not saying we all look Gora; however, definitely our physical features are distinctly different than someone from say Ahmadabad, Gujrat or UP or bengal or any of ur other ilaakas.
