Should Pakistani troops be posted in Gaza to monitor (and stop) rocket firings?

Makes you wonder who he/she really works for.

No this is the chief of ISI … and not some fat general from 80’s

Pakistan’s New Intelligence Chief: ‘Terror Is Our Enemy, Not India’ - SPIEGEL ONLINE - News - International

What the ISI chief has to say

“We may be crazy in Pakistan, but not completely out of our minds. We know full well that terror is our enemy, not India.”

Interesting read … On his visit to India … what he claims !!!

If he had done so, Pasha would have been the first director general of the ISI to travel to India, a visit that would have been a minor sensation. Instead, he stayed at home, yielding to the pressure of old antipathies. “Many people here are simply not ready,” he says.

Since PM cannot fire him … they surely will issue a statement " he never meant it" …

I agree Data, this shud top the list.

I think you are a bit innocent about the history and the role of Pak army in the middle East. Pak army these days consists of the decedents of brave soldiers who saved Middle Eastern Arabs from the German terror during WWII, and later communist terror during cold war. Majority of these brave soldiers were from Punjab (East and West), and Frontier's settled areas + afridis (and no other FATA and Wazirastanis).

In addition to their participation in WWII, and Cold war, Pak soldiers also performed heroic roles in peace keeping ops. This is all the while few Arab countries could ever muster credible armies for their own defense let alone helping someone out (except Gulf War I).

Again see above for Pak army's historic role that you may not aware off.

Your comments are disrespect to Pak army officers who gave the ultimate to save our nation. Few corrupt officers should not be used to malign our army that has done superb job to keep us safe during the last 60 years even when we live in one of the most hostile and dangerous neighborhood.

If in doubt ask the Afghanis who were never blessed with strong army like Pakistan, and see how every aira ghaira nathoo khaira has come and "enjoyed" Afghanistan for the last 60 years.

That success actually belongs to US, not because US was successful in defending their ally "Kabul" but because they started drone-bombing FATA areas which then diverted the attention of all the militants to FATA hence most of the activity now is around FATA instead of where it should belong i.e. Afghanistan.

I think you are confusing the issue of Khost and Kunar. Please get your bearings about the area. Thanks.

Re: Should Pakistani troops be posted in Gaza to monitor (and stop) rocket firings?

Pakistani troops should be posted at Gaza and they should give only 1 Shaheen/Ghauri nuclear missile to Hammas so that axis of evil would be finished once for all.

Re: Should Pakistani troops be posted in Gaza to monitor (and stop) rocket firings?

I think Pakistan to back Hamas with any military funding it requires. Tanks, Aircrafts, Artillery etc.

Its 100% justified to do so.

Israel has enough big daddys backing it up, its time Hamas steps it up a notch by utilizing Iran and Pakistan.

Re: Should Pakistani troops be posted in Gaza to monitor (and stop) rocket firings?

Pakistan should jus threatn to nuke israel off...if they dont stop this war.... Move shaheen 2 near the border.....nd start threatning to nuke them off , tell them to stop this war or we will do it ourself......Thats it.....and than wait and watch how isreal wet itself!

This is exactly what Hammas have been doing. Threatening!

The consequences have been devastating for who? Hammas.

The reason is that you don't threaten anyone unless you are willing to go all the way to the full scale war.

So in reality you are suggesting Pakistan should go to full scale war with Israel. Correct?

We have Taliban war on the West, India threatening from the East, and you want to open yet another war front?

The purpose of this thread was to use Pak troops for stopping rocket bazi and thus bringing peace. I guess you totally missed the point.
