should Muslims believe in Pir's?

Let's talk about magic business first!
Black magic is a term coined to represent "things we do not understand but fear from them". In reality there is no black or white magic.

Now back to your aunt!
She is your khala. Right! And she was in Pak/subcontinent 13 years ago. Correct!

Desi women can and do suffer from diseases that have roots in psychological, physical, cultural, and social norms that focus on controlling their sexual behavior.

As a result desi women live under tremendous pressures and generally speaking have no "legal outlet" and ZERO access to quality medical care to deal with their physical and emotional issues.

Pir's or more correctly "medicine men" play a role in healing these women. How do these medicine men heal these women, is beyond the common knowledge. Because the healing practices are not documented.

In the absence of clearly documented methods, people call their practice "Black/white magic" depending on your belief in Piri-Mureedi.

The bottom line is that your Khala was "healed" by this pir and she is now living a happy and normal married life. Correct?

If so, then you should avoid using the terms such as "black magic". These type of terms suit ONLY the primitive uneducated societies.

FYI! Modern medicine now have many tools to detect "abnormalities" in a person. Just get the MRI and CT scans done for the patients, you will realize that every disease has clear and consistent "reasons" for its existence. Current medical knowledge may not know how to cure these, but the reasons are clearly there.

Praying for your Khala's health, and well being of your family.

Ameen.
