I guess ISI would keep on running a state with in a state until Kashmir and Afghanistan issues are alive.
ISI got prominence during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and yes it was fully supported by US then and uptil now.

Constantly shouting about doing "jihad" around the world and constantly associating with international terorrists like Osama and Zawahiri comes with a cost.
Rich nations or self sufficient countries can sometimes get away with **** like that. We cannot have people calling for global jihad, have people running around with guns and attacking regional countries and still expect to get $$$$ from IMF and US.

There are news that Gen Hamid Gul, Gen Javed Nasir, Maj Gen Zaheerul Islam Abbasi, Gen Aslam Baig, etc. would be put on UN terror list by US?

they didn even show hamid gul's interview, it was just a 5 second clip.
to be honest i dont think that current ISI officials will easily let US to add an ex ISI chief on terrorist list. Cuz like it or not, US needs ISI more than government and it can afford to offend government but not ISI.
