Should India go for the kill?

End of Day 4, lead standing slim at 193, and seems a case as if there is no enticement left in any cricket being played apart from the lone and deserted Warid series.

If an all-out attack is one of the options, which appears to be true from Rahul Dravid’s captaincy and field placements (especially packing the slip cordon and having men in the catching areas on the leg-side at almost all times), India should stretch the lead upto 250. In all, a lead of no more than 275-280 would definitely give India a chance. This would be even more ideal if Anil Kumble manages to get back from the hospital. Any lead above and beyond 300 or even 325 would draw the curtains. India has to make a match out of it. Bangladesh bowlers have pushed India to the limit, and the real deal would begin if India decide to prepare for an attack, choose to declare at a suitable and at an early time, and set an all-around attacking field, similar to their first innings.

The end question remains; should India go for the kill?

Re: Should India go for the kill?

India's bowling being what it is....meaning PIECE OF CRAP
and the fact that KUMBLE is out for rest of the game means....

India should not go for the kill....

Instead, Indian should bat out the day.
Tendulkar should be allowed to score his 3784562 th century. Ganguly should also be allowed to display his batting greatness. Dhoni too can pitch in with a century.

Re: Should India go for the kill?

On an unrelated note , why is the India-BD test match thread not STICKY...but threads about some nondescript games in the middle of a desert (in between desert storms) played solely for the pleasure of some Sheikhs are given sticky status.
I ask WHY ?

Re: Should India go for the kill?

thread title is misleading. i think south asians should stop using this phrase now.

Re: Should India go for the kill?

Friggin rain is again threatening to wash out today's play.
Next inspection 11 AM (local time).

So there goes any chance for a result , rendering dhobi_bhai's question redundant.
