Should I wake her up

Re: Should I wake her up

That is one major reason of decline of muslim societies that they started following the trends of those cultures where women are treated like garbage, not bothered about how they should treat them according to their own religion. Many laws you find in western countries today are taken straight from and were implemented in Islamic world pre 1916 (Fall of ottoman empire).

Would like to quote an article Im reading right now but I am not done reading it yet.

Re: Should I wake her up

This dude are my values, I don’t look to the past to choose my values.

Re: Should I wake her up

Refer to bolded word above. This is sooooo far from being an issue…that it’s a non-issue. It certainly does not warrant a thread. There are married men on GS, some of them are fathers as well. They don’t feel compelled to act like this. Pata nahi kya chahiye tumhe…shabashi, taaliyan, a pat on the back? I guess the blog was not a broad enough platform for you.

Re: Should I wake her up

Are you in North America by any chance? There is some Islamic reference which goes something like, “God appoints the leader(s) of any nation from amongst them”. In other words, the kind of leader(s) that are appointed on any nation is/are the representatives of the kind of people that are there in that nation.

So if the candian PM is your role model, you most probably belong there. Just like all the Pakistani leaders are representatives of the people living in Pakistan. Deceivers, liars, corrupt to the core, disregard for humanity and moral values, etc.etc.etc.

Re: Should I wake her up

How about talk about yourself, you have been here for over a decade, what are you looking for? I haven’t really come across anyone like you either, does that give me the right to dress you down?

Re: Should I wake her up

I live in Canada and that is home for us and we subscribe very closely to the values Justin displays. Our role models have been mostly people like him. We are big advocates for gender equality.

Re: Should I wake her up

Makes good sense. Just like how I thought of this same Islamic saying when I saw an american eyeing his own daughter & uttering some words to compliment her physique which are not appropriate to come from a father. And I thought, “No wonder considering the guy who represents the americans now.”

I dont mean to say that the entire population of any region is represented by its’ leaders but majority of it.

I edited my post later. Please quote the edited version if you have to.

Re: Should I wake her up

I don’t really like to get into political discussions. My values are despite any election or leadership change. Even if they elected a supremacist today I will still subscribe to gender equality, freedom of religion, freedom of sexual orientation and protection against discrimination, my children bring home friends from all races, religion, gays, lesbian bi’s etc and we never see one different from another but only based on their behavior.

Re: Should I wake her up

Lol. I’m surprised you didn’t say what you were really thinking after making the “been here for a decade” remark. In the past you’d first cite how long I’ve been on GS followed by a dig at my being single…and that, too, when you claim to have a daughter of your own. One shouldn’t go around speaking of Western values with such a narrow mindset about women. And seriously, whether or not to wake up wife is like whether to have Chinese or pizza for dinner. It’s better suited for a blog. But anyhow…carry on…Bob. Much to your relief there are still folks here inspired by you…u might as well entertain them. Maybe the next thread could be about whether to feed wife with your own hands or to let her eat on her own or some pressing, mind-boggling dilemma of that sort.

Re: Should I wake her up

Bobby1,

Did my post come across as political? I did not mean to start political discussion. Was speaking generally.

redvelvet,

you and Bobby1 both are highly intelligent individuals. Have not read any of you alot but from little bit of what I have read you both have very good brains which can be used very positively and constructively so why always trying to push eachother down? Incase you always tracking him down with an axe in your hands because some people encouraged you to do so in private then do not let them make you a medium to convey to Bobby what they do not have the courage to say to him themselves. Tell them not to hide & come to the forefront instead of using you. Somehow, I know a little bit about what goes on behind these forums between members. Most of the times at most places, the bad guys are connected privately and gang up against one they have any beef with. So beware of not becoming a medium to such people. They may be smiling at you when you look at them but most probably be talking ill of you TOO when you turn around. Such is the world today no matter where you go. So dont act on such people’s celever tactic of fighting with someone who has not hurt you. I say this because you seem intelligent enough to take up fights like that. Yeah incase you have any previous scores to settle I dont know about then carry on. Here I clear the ground for you both

Re: Should I wake her up

I don’t really like interacting with rude and uncivilised people, please refrain from mentioning my children, I have been told that it is really low class to involve posters family. Please show some decency.
