One of my sister’s friend’s mum had asked my hand for marriage for her eldest son sometime back.I had refused.
The friend invited us over to her house on Thursday and emphasized on bringing me along.
I feel kinda awkward .

I'm the only non-princess in here lol.. Yes, u should go if possible, try not to feel awkward.. You shouldn't avoid them and there's nothing to feel embarrassed or bad about imo..

no .. do not go .. just make up some excuse like u had a prior commitment or soemthing .. never wilingly go into a situation which makes u feel uncomfortable
ur not up in the running for 'goodest person' prize .. n anywayzz once a girl refuses a ristha it doesnt matter if ur the kindest perosn to them on the earth they will always try to keep putting u down .. trust me i know this

Do go as an invitation is a blessing. And feeling awkward .. Well u ll get over that once u get to the khanay wala table .. Just concentrate on the food and avoid getting in to a question and answer session and if previous issue of rishta refusal arrises just politely reply ''talk to my parents, what ever dicision they make for me oh have made in the past is what is best for me' ... As soon as u get home let ur parents know and they can take it from there ...
All this .. If something awkward does come though aaprt from this be coooolll and kill all the food so next time they wont invite u cos u eat too much :p

i suggest u to go, i cant c any harm in it, refusing the rishta and participating in social activities is entirely differnt.

Itna headache over an invite? Follow your instincts.
If you think it might be uncomfortable for you, don't go and ask your sister to make some bahana when they go, like she was coming but she's sick with flu or something like that.
