Since we’re talking about Islam here…Islam is not based on my/anybodys opinion, rather it is based on the teachings of RasoolAllah sallalahu alaihi waalihi wasalam. If you are muslim, then I am sure you will know what he taught us regarding this matter (and that is what I accept and try to imbibe personally- to answer your question :)) or you can consult your local/trusted imam for further clarification.
