I bet he can't be worse than sarfaraz nawaz?
Didnt I have the conversation with rana1 long time ago. Sohail is useless to the Pakistan cricket team. His citeria of seletion is pathetic at the least. He picks up guys like Junaid Zia and then justifies it by saying that this is the way talent is hunted in Pakistan and then he has the nerve of giving the example of Wasim Akram getting selected in the side without playing a first class match. First of all Imran and Miandad had the eye for talent, secondly who was there in doemestic circuit to challenge Wasim, and lastly Akram didnt take long justifying his talent with a 5 wicket haul in his second match.
His prosfessional conduct sucks, he has no authority to criticize anyone except him self. As far as his relationship with Miandad is concerned it has never been good. PCB needs to think before the assign people to different jobs. The made Sohial the chief selector and Miandad the coach knowing well that they both dont get along. Then as it all was taking place Miandad comes out with his autobiography and bashes Sohail for being arrogant and someone with not a lot of cricketing sense. We dont need that **** just when we are trying to regroup our selves.
Pakistan cricket will continue to suffer as long as people like Sohail are there. Javed Miandad also needs to stick to his job instead of having a media word war with Sohail. I agree Sohials comments piss him off and rightly so, but its Pakistan that looks bad when chief selector and coach start giving statements agaisnt each other. Miandad should have quielty taken it with Tauqir and Rameez and told them he will go to the press if no action is taken.

He actually is. Atleast sarfaraz nawaz wasnt a whiner, even his critcism of Imran was limited to imrans political life. I remember he said 'He is a great cricketer, but I dont think of him as a person'.

*Besides his selection policies, does Aamir Sohail ever get any joke made by a fellow commentator? Really. It's very irritating. People, That Is All.*

Thats why we need to send him emails, so he can understand that people at large are annoyed by his silly remarks and his failure to take responsibility for his actions.

hey, I have an idea. Why don't we make two polls about Aamir Sohail. First one as a commentator, and second one as a selector. Then send the results or the poll page to the people at Ten Sports. I am sure they'll be very interested in what the people think of him as a commentator, if not as a selector. If we can get him off the air with this little endavour, then we shouldn't waste anytime. At least he won't be able to babble about his collegues on LIVE TV any more.
Ask the same question as in this thread and make one of the options: OH HELL YEAH!
This should be fun if it gets aired on the final..especially the Oh hell yeah part :D
Edit: as for my opinion on the matter: I belive he should be sacked, and forgotten about from anything that has to do with international cricket. Be it commentary, or selection. It was irritating to see him shift the blame on javed when Dean Jones asked him about Hafeez. By saying that sometimes mediocre players get selected into the side, and its coach's responsibility that they are polished, he is actually accepting the fact that he has selected mediocre players for the national team. Well then Mr. Aamir I must ask you if we wanted someone to select mediocre players then what was wrong with the previous selector?
Also he needs to stop shifting his decision on Waqar. One day he says if Waqar performs well he'll be selected. The second day he changes his mind and says, you have to look at the future and start thinking of changing your attack bowlers by the time they hit 34. Stick to your own words please, Mr. Sohail. Don't get too defensive now and go on a tangent on how difficult a job it is for you. if you find it too difficult, then you are more than welcome to quit. i can assure you, you will not be missed.
the bbc guy who took his interview really tore him apart! he had no answer, he was getting so pissed off..!
