Back to the real world, I don’t think so especially if she is earning and doesn’t bring in the money to the household. Even with housewives, I have seen that the wives would spend it all out of jealousy or fear that he might buy a ‘gift’ or give money to GOD FORBID his parents even if siblings are not involved.

I know i know we shouldn’t generalize, but this is true of a lot of women on how narrow minded they get with their in-laws. I have seen it happen before my own eyes.
