assume a guy and girl are interested in each other but their parents have never met the guy or the girl…(i.e. girls parents have never met the guy and vice versa).
In the initial meeting between the 2 families…would it be important for the guy to also go and meet the girls family? if the girls family insist they want to see him and for some reason the guy cant meet the girls family…what should happen? postpone the meeting for another time or carry on with it without the guy being present? should the girls parents mind about this or not?
Re: should a guy GO?

Re: should a guy GO?
he should, Jaab Mian Bivi raazi, Tou Kia karrey ga Qazi:D
Re: should a guy GO?
The guy should definaterly be present at the meeting. If for some reason he can't attend, then the meeting should be rescheduled for a date/time that's convenient for him.
BTW, am curious to know the reason as to why a guy possibly can't attend such a meeting? The only valid reason I can think of is if he's out of the country. But other than that, I can't see why he would not be able to take time out of his busy life to meet the family of the girl he wants to marry.
Re: should a guy GO?
that guy must be gay, why have a relationship when u cant even carry it on?
Re: should a guy GO?
there is a lot of give and take in a ristha process....and usually parents of a girl need to see the guy in order to have tasali that the guy will take care of their daughter....and if the guy can't make it then the parents can go see him too.....it doesn't have to be a one way deal....i mean these days ppl don't care about culture as much as they used to....
Re: should a guy GO?
Of course he should go.

Re: should a guy GO?
Jab larka larki raazi, tho kiya kare ga qaazi.
Make a phone call and explain the reasons why you cant make it.
Re: should a guy GO?
The guy should definitely go, regardless of whether he is interested or not. The worst thing for any girl or her family to endure is a guy's family coming alone to inspect the merchandise. It's beyond inconsiderate for the guy not to show up and the family to show his photo instead of actually bringing him along. It's different if he's out of the country, but if he is able to go, there is no reason why he should not be present .... especially if the guy and girl already know that they like each other.
