any1know … where in the uk is a good place to get that laser treatment (of the eye) done, and roughly how much it would cost!

I had my laser surgery done through a surgeon at Boots optician (and yes, i did get advantage points as well)

I wear contacts as well as glasses. There is a best place at all really. Just got to reserach the market and make sure they are well known. You dont want someone who has just started carrying out laser eye operations with 2 years experience do u?
Normally you would be paying £500-£600 per eye. But as i said, do your homework, ask around etc.
I know someone who had it done and it all went wrong and she is blind now unfortunately.
I wanted to go ahead with it too but as i am short sighted and its not too bad Alhumdullilah, i am not going to go ahead with it and stick with wearing contacts when out and glasses when at home.
Why risk your eyesight forever in the hands of someone else?
Plus, on healthy side, drink lots and lots of carrot juice and inshallah ur sight should get better. Beleive me, thats a FACT!!

Shahreen - I've heard that the laser treatment is not guaranteed to keep the eye sight stable. it can still fall further. also that after the treatment, the sun light has to be avoided. also that after the treatment, one cannot use contact lenses if the eyesight further falls. is all that true?
