Shortage of Male Performers

It is quite disappointing to see only a handful of actors these days while everywhere you look, you see high potential for female performers. The only place where males seem to be dominating is pop music. Otherwise, in films, there is just Shaan, Moamer Rana, and a few other relatively non-prolific actors who are supporting the whole movie industry. Every other film has Shaan as the main hero in it.

Likewise, in dramas, Humayun Sayeed and some other guys are always in each drama.

Why is there such a shortage of potential actors when you see every other girl wanting to be an actress or film star or model these days?

And by male actors, I mean young fresh faces. Is there some sort of social stigma associated with male actors or what? Personally, Humayun Saeed is cute. However, I’d like to see new talent come out. Any opinions?

Arey bhai, who watches the guys anyway? (maybe the game does but he doesent matter

Just keep bringing in the Meeras, Zara Sheikhs, Amna Haqs, etc and they’ll carry the film on their own

Whenever Lahore goes for the usual action thriller they fall flat. They should learn from the lessons of Inteha and Tere Pyaar Mein - if they do - then the film should revolve around the chick and the dude can just show up occasionally here and there. Even a non-actor like Mohsin Khan can manage that much

So forget the male leads! Bring on the Meeras and the Zaras!

Ya know, about half of the audience are females. And most of them are more interested in the hunks than in the Zara Sheikhs, Meera, Reemas, etc

at least i hope so
