Not at all. Long shirts are in fashion accompanied with capris or straight pants.

ok so i guess short shirts and loose shalwars are a big NO NO but then wat about ppl who are chubby or a lttl overweight or short hieghted :( ,long shirts and pants look gud only on tall and slim ppl..... any suggestions ?????????

Get the jacket like style with straight pants that's in lately. It's very slimming.

Actually lots of people said that short shirts looked good on slim people only. Anyways, if you are short then don't go too long, just medium length.

Why is desi fashion so static! I am sure there's room for creativity! One should always wear what looks good on them! I never did the patyala shalwar bit since I just don't like that on shortish people ...

eastern u r right short shirts with patialas r not tht flattering for heavier girls on the other hand long shirts n pants look better on them and its not like they r out of fashion some ppl still wear emmm not patiala shalwars but loose shalwars like in 70s the painchas r really big ...medium to short shirts r being worn over wide legged pants too...and the short shirts can be worn over jeans or pants here

i dont think they are, but i do think even though something is not in fashion and it suits you then you should still go ahead and wear it, i do!

^^ i agree.... i love how they look and would still wear them. but i dont like extremely gher waali shalwaars ...instead short kameezes and shalwars with medium gher look really good.

well ya they actualy dnt work for short ppl but im not that short but ya im a lttl heavy :( braod framed and chubby actually and that style suits me more than long shirt with pants (i look more fat in that )... i was wondering what should i wear for an upcomming wedding in family but i think i would still go for a short shirt with medium gher shalwar :) and ya it actually look suuuuuuperrrrrr cute :)

i still wear em and always will lol. if you're on top with fashion then ditch em. but they look good! darn it= i also like the short kameez with khari shalwar (kam gher wali). i always thought thse looks went better with med height and avg weight girls. the long shirts with capris/pants look horrible on me. i've never been a fan of em anyway. i see those looking great on the taller ones
