Short or Full

So guys, how do you offer prayers? Just farz or full rakaat ?

and what are your views about it?

Re: Short or Full

Fardh + Sunnah almost all the time.

I think you should strive and really push yourself to pray the sunnah as well because once you start slacking on the sunnahs it’s hard to get the habit to start again and once you lose the sunnah it becomes easier to lose the fardh.

Re: Short or Full

fard, sunnat e moakkida and witr,

the more nawaafil you do, the better it is for you…but…never offer them under pressure to complete a certain prefixed number of rakaa’ats.

Re: Short or Full

is it okay to pray like this

fajr 2 farz
zuhur 4 farz
asr 4 farz
maghrib 3 farz
isha 4 farz and 3 witr

we dont pray like that but would this be right?

Re: Short or Full

2 rak’at sunnat at Fajar is a sunnat e mo’aqqida [highly recommended] so this must not be omitted. it’s just like witr.

btw, most Muslims offer a minimum of:

2 sunnat + 2 fard at Fajar [4 rak’ats]
4 sunat + 4 fard + 2 sunnat at Zohr [10 rak’ats]
4 fard at Asr [4 rak’ats]
3 fard + 2 sunnat ayt MaGhrib [5 rak;ats]
4 fard + 2 sunnat + 3 witr [9 rak’ats]

Re: Short or Full

usually pray as following :
2 sunnat 2 farz fajr
4 sunat 4 farz 2 sunat 2 nafil zuhr
4 sunt 4 farz asr
3 farz 2 sunat 2 nafl maghrib
4 sunat 4 farz 2 sunat 2 nafil 3 witr 2 nafil isha
