Hey.

Any idea what I should wear without me looking like im dragging myself across the floor. I’m 4ft 11 so I’m short lol I’m not sure as to what type of weddign dress I should wear :teary1:

i think u shud take advantage of the current fashion ... long shirts make you look taller - sleeker ... and dont go for farshi lehngha's go for the straight ones which are mostly taking up the ramps nowadays ...

:) dont forget your heels too .. !

im very slim size 8, but my back side is slightly big and not just saying it, it realy is lol... Im thinking an 'A line skirt' and a long kameez on top

A line should work as well! .. lajwanti is awesome :D
just dont go for something draggy draggy .. itll compress you .. n about backside being big .. woot woot to you babes .. ;)

straight dresses will defo compliment you .. !

ah thnx uve been great with the advice.... seriously the but can be a problem ;) ill take all the info on board when shopping for mu ultimate wedding dress

Have a look at stuff like fitted maxi dresses as well, they can be flattering if they have been made well, but make sure that the length is right and not too long or anything.

We’re about the same height (I’m 5 feet). Attached is a picture of the style of outfit I’m wearing (long kameez with lehenga). My heels are also 4.5 inches (with a 1 inch platform). :slight_smile:

LOL....that's not my outfit or me. So yea...you can copy! :) My outfit is silver/orange. I was just trying to show you the style of mine. :)

I think long outfits definately work for short girls like us if chosen wisely. Heels help a lot too. I got my heels this past weekend and plan on wearing them around the house A LOT until the wedding day (just so I "break them in" and get comfy walking in them).

im going to have to get my footwear from pakistan as thats where im getting the lengha from... OMG you dnt understand how nervous I get when I think that i'll be buying my wedding outfit from abroad.... keep thinking what if i dont find something i love :( i will end up hanging myslf lol

^ Why can't you buy heels in the UK?

I ordered my outfit at a local store and it was made in India. But I bought my heels at Nordstorm. :)

I think you'll be ok. With mine...we saw an outfit at the store..but we changed the colors and the design. I really had no idea how the outfit was going to turn out and was literally scared the 2 months I had to wait. Now that I have it...I LOVE it!

High heels, I bet they'll add another 4+ Inches.

Which will make you around 5'3" or even 5'4", and that is not short at all for girls. In my opinion

i have same prob...

nobody can give me a good answer... so what i think is that its important that ur clothes are well fitted and not toooo long. think kameez should be max mid-calv or even a lil shorter... if ur going with a maxi than i would make it down till the floor :)

and ye shigh heels!

im not sure what the guys side are getting for me but if it makes me look like a miggit someone will suffer…

Im gonna hav to play smart wid my own outfit…and most likely killer heels but i dnt want to dwarf him out lol…

Mmmm another idea i will make short ppl stand next to me and make sure they wear flats so i look tall :biggthumb: hahahah
