Re: shorba

you mean thin gravy , right?

This is how you do it :

Prepare the usual basic masala for the salan ( frying onions, add garlic ,ginger , meat or vegetable , tomatoes etc ) ... just make sure you take a little more then usual onion , for example I like to use 3 onions when i am planning to make thin gravy ... and I blend them into a fine paste in the blender , before starting to fry them ...

When you add the tomatoes , you blend them into a paste as well ... when the tomatoes are nicely bhuno'ed ... at that point you add two or three glasses of water in the salan ...

Remember , this is the only time you can add water into the salan , if you want good gravy ... if you add more water later on in the process , the water will remain separate and uncooked ... ..

Once the water has been added , lower the heat and leave the salan , with the lid on .. for a good half hour .. dont have to stir it more then once ... you will notice that water will mix very well with the masala and have a nice layer of oil on top .. this means that the gravy is ready...

Good luck and let me know if there are any problems ...

Then when the tomatoes are fully done in the
