Re: shopping places in london?
I went shopping last weekend, and the original plan was to go shopping in Green Street however after spending 4-5 hours there, visiting all the shops and not finding anything I liked I caught a train to Southall. Southall had all the things Green Street had and more, there's much more variety and more shops there are more likely to allow haggling than Green Street shops in my experience.
Re: shopping places in london?
i think green street is the best for sarees and if u want suits then go to southall. I recently purchased bridal outfits from mongas and jaan in southall and sarees from green street.
Re: shopping places in london?
I like southall shopping, i've never been green street but would like to visit it as well. Spend one day in southall and the other in green street. If you wanna go 'english' shopping try westfields - it's got everything in one biiiiiig shopping mall!
Re: shopping places in london?
Hi Im new on here and was planning on a trip down south for shopping. ive been to southall before but got really confused as all the shops and bazaars had the same clothes just VERY different prices.
i basically want 2 outfit for my close cousins wedding (mehndi and baraat days) that are stylish but unique (i dont want to see 10 other people wearing the same thing) my budget is £500 for 2 but would prefer to spend more on the main day outfit rather than the mehndi.
in southall the only 2 places that looked different was Jaan and Mongas - and with the sale seemed reasonable.
is there anywhere on ilford lane thats decent as i can see that its not far from the broadway - what about Gul Style....i have seen his collection in the magazine. i know i may have to have something made for the main day due to sizing - is my budget reasonable?
thanks in advance.
Re: shopping places in london?
East London is depressing.
Re: shopping places in london?
^ agreed
why would some one coming all the way from india or pakistan and look for desi stuff in london ???
Re: shopping places in london?
Two best places for shopping in london , where you will find all the shops at one place:
Oxford street
Westfield shopping center
If you are looking for brand outlets then go to bicester village
For desi shopping: southall and green street
