Please share shops in and near Rawalpindi for decent priced clothes, both ready made and unstitched. Clothes that look good and good quality, don’t necessarily have to be super designer.
Also in Pindi, is it fairly safe for ladies to go out alone shopping. Sorry if my question sounds ignorant, but in my family we almost always go out with someone and I have never been alone. I may be visiting for 2 months and don’t want to be dependent all the time. We do have a driver but still.

I will also be in Pindi in August, I will update this post.. where will u be staying. In Baharia there are many shops now. Saddar, there is a city plaza full of cloths... Kamaran Market for kam wale and casuals.
China Market for fancy.
ps. you should be ok alone with the driver.

Thanks. I will be staying in Cantt area and also near Dhamial Camp. Saddar is fairly easy to get to but just wondering what if any specific stores are good. I know of Ego, Urban Outfitters and Limelight for Kurta stuff. What else?
I want some lawn outfits for extreme heat as well as kurtas. Then a couple of fancy outfits to bring back with me. Also what stores are good for girls desi outfits, kids age4 and 8.

Saadia I am planning to go late July until mid to late August. I am hoping I can get out and abouy with kids and without kids, let's see. I dunno I have read crazy stories...lol so feeling concerned. Of course once driver drops me off, then I am on my own. Is it generally ok with a toddler in those areas?

Afsheen, no keep the driver with you or maybe a relative boy or someone. I know its safe but they know if you are a foreigner and they can easily trick you. Maybe we both can meet up to shop together in saddar, I know a few good shops there.

I haven't booked yet, just trying to decide. If I do go, we should definitely get together.
Now I am concerned. Sometimes you need a break away from extended family, but not sure how it will work if I want to go alone with kids. At least restaurants should be fine. Lets see, need to do more research.

Same here, not liking the summer bit but only time we can really go. Perhaps winter but then it is too cold that Id rather deal with heat than cold.
I will be mostly visiting in laws in pindi as FIL is not well. Eventually Lahore too.
