I have been browsing through this forum for the past 2 weeks and have found it very informative.
Here is my story - I am supposed to get married mid july (Inshallah!! Keeping my fingers crossed) in Lahore. I am currently in the US. I will get to pakistan exactly 6 days before my wedding - one day out of the 6 days is a sunday. I cant get off earlier because of my work.
My mom is leaving a month earlier tho - to get some of the shopping done. I need help from you gals (esp. the ones from Lahore). I need to know for my mom - good bridal shops. Also - I want to get my lehnga from pakistan after I get there. Do you think it would be possible to get a readymade one which only needs to be tailored? Also - which shops should i go to? My range is less than $1200. And what color combination is currently in? I was thinking something with maroon. (wanna be a traditional bride)
And about the jewelry - I wanted to buy the necklace and earings of real gold … but was wondering if there is some shop which can make matching tikka, naath and jhummar from silver or something … Is naath and Jhummar still in? My mom really wants me to wear them …
Please help!!! I really wanna get good stuff - without going overboard $$ wise …
