So guys I will be in Karachi in December and early January. I’m going through a kurta phase and find them easy to lounge around in at home.
I’ve got a couple here in the UK-no major labels just nice kurtas. Paid £10/15 for them each. I’m a large size and would like to buy a few in Karachi. Is here any stores in particular that have kurtas in various sizes?
I usually shop from junaid jamshed, and khaadi. I've also tried ethnic outfitters, generation and a few others. I wouldn't reccomend ideas and alkaram. Ideas doesnt have good quality and alkaram is way too expensive.
JJ and khaadi have female kurtas in 10/15 GBP range? Seriously?

They both have kurtas in various sizes. JJ has them in s,m,l and xl and khaadi has them in numbers. As far as price is concerned both range from rs. 2500+ if that equals gbp 10-15 then yes.
slackira, at JJ, I did not see any decent female tops below PKR.5k. And Im talking about a few years ago. JJ is good only to purchase male kurtas & a decent male kurta at JJ is above PKR.2k. Anything below is mediocre. I got a tiny female scarf in 2010 for PKR.1k. Other female stuff is highly priced. Some perfumes are good though.
My cousin recently went to Pakistan and brought me kurtas from zahra Ahmed. 5 for $100 and they're really pretty and I like the fabric too. I dunno how the sizes are over there but I highly recommend her :)

I'm a regular shopper at JJ and over the years they've changed their pricing policies. Plus there are sales as well. There are beautiful stitched kurtas that start off from pkr 2500. For rs 4000 onwards a kurta comes with a dupatta or heavy embroidery.
But the point of this thread is if there are any lesser known shops selling nice kurtas only in khi.. Because JJ and the rest can be found in any other cities with the same products and variety.

There is one called Change and then there"e urban culture. I like zahra ahmed as well. Her outfits are reasonably priced. You should checkout dolmen mall on tariq road and dolmen city mall on clifton. You wont have to go anywhere else as you'll find outlets of almost every casual wear brand there.
@slackira I remember seeing zahra ahmed somewhere around mini/main market gulberg. And I dont know about Change & urban culture. Will check them out. But would prefer shopping from unknown labels. But first the most difficult task is to get to khi on AC Sleeper, lolll
One of my friends is also coming from U.S in dec and I wil suggest to her what I will to you and it is that make the effort of going to mehran heights. It's in Clifton near uzma center . There you will find nice galore of kurtas. Intact there is a shop called bin saeed. Do check it out. Duaain dain gee mujh ko!!!:)
