What are the best places to shop in Istanbul? In terms of clothes, shoes, bags and makeup?
And even for the house? I’ve done my share of google searches but I’d like to get personal experiences and suggestions please! ![]()

Re: Shopping in Istanbul
^ LOL.....we may like to shop and travel.....but that doesn't necessarily mean we shop when we travel. :)
When I travel, shopping isn't usually on my agenda. I spend my time/energy sightseeing and eating the local food. In terms of clothes/MU etc....I have everything I could want/need right here in the U.S. I actually know a couple who just came back from Turkey a few weeks ago but again....they went sightseeing.
Re: Shopping in Istanbul
i went to istanbul for my honeymoon! taksim square and the Grand Bazaar are the places to go for good shopping!but do try to haggle a bit!
Re: Shopping in Istanbul
Taksim and also You can shop at Cevahir shopping mall .Also there are few gud shops at sultan ahmet area
Re: Shopping in Istanbul
Istaqlal ave in taksim square and Grand bazaar. I didn't do much shopping when i was there last year becuase I found it very similar to US, Cananda so there was no point lugging it back.
Re: Shopping in Istanbul
Taksim Square has some nice shops that have pure Turkish made clothes and designs which i found to be great and the prices were very reasonable too. Grand bazaar i found has lots of things that you don't really need!! but end up buying for the sake of it, and it is not cheap, you can find same stuff cheaper outside of the bazaar.
When we went the whole Taksim square protests were kicking off and it made it difficult to commute (we were staying in a hotel in Taksim square) so not sure what the situation is there at the moment
btw the Sephora shop there has some bright and vivid colours that you don't find in UK
Re: Shopping in Istanbul
I want to get some stuff for the house (stuff that I dont need, just want :p) souvenirs etc. Any place more reasonable besides the grand bazaar where I can get them? Need to buy some presents too. I'll be living in Taksim Square
