my understanding is that guys wear western style shoes on their mehndi…ive seen some wear kola puri chapals but somehow that just doesnt look right…what do you guys think?

depends on your height really, if its a joint mehndi and youre a lot shorter than your hubby opt for heels, if youre of reasonable height go for chapals. both can work well aslong as they match your outfit and look good. plus if youre dancing you might wanna go for chapals as it'll be more comfortable.

ohhh haha just read it properly now. for guys i'd say chapal or kusa, shoes should be left for the wedding/walima.

I feel it depends on what you are comfortable with and what matches your dress. (talking about men)
for gals obviously it depends on your height and what u r going to wear on that day.

chappal or khussas....and i think girls shud wear chappal or khussas as well, heels should be saved for the wedding day IMO
