Hoping you guys can help me out. What types of shoes do you guys wear in winter with shalwar-kameez? I’m totally stumped! Its as if I can’t even remember what I wore last winter. I don’t mean going out to parties and stuff, more like everyday occasions…the only warm and comfortable shoes I can think of are uggs…but they look dopey with shalwar-kameez

balet flats... i never really thought about that. It just never got that cold in karachi. If it did, I remember we used to wear flip flops with really cute toe socks.

well since you live in california...i guess you can get away with wearing ballet flats...but in Canada...you need to wear actually winter boots....or say goodbye to your toes!!! I love wearing my long siletto winter boots...look great with shalwar Kameez!!!

Thats what I wear, ballet flats, but lately its been really cold and the other day it was hailing and my feet hurt!!! I was just trying to think what I used to wear before ballet flats came out and what they wear in Pakistan cause many Pakistani’s here don’t wear shalwar-kameez when they go out of the house but I don’t mind since I have been doing it all my life…flips flops are a big no no (at least the old navy ones) especially when its raining, the other day i needed to the grab something from the grocery store, so i ran out of the house with flip-flops when I was walking to the car, I nearly slipped but thankfully caught myself…that would have been a sight to see …I guess I will just wear ballet flats with socks?? OR maybe I will checkout those long siletto winter boots Malika suggested

I wear ballet flats or boots to get where I'm going then change into open toe heels... I think nothing else looks better with desi clothes!
