My new flat that I wore for the first time today gave me a blister. Obviously I want to wear it again, so I’m thinking that I’ll stick a piece of tape where it caused me the blister. Any other solutions?
Re: shoe trouble
Put a bit cotton inside where the skin contacts the area of the shoe
Re: shoe trouble
Yeah but then wouldn't the cotton cuz of friction still cause the blister?
Also, wouldn't it show?
Also, how do you make that darn piece of cotton stay at that spot!

Re: shoe trouble
I've heard that if you put your shoes in the freezer, it makes it more comfortable to wear. Mind you, I've never tried it myself.
The other option is to take the shoes to a cobbler and have him stretch the shoes. Take a look at the inside of the shoe, if the construction of the shoe is poor, there may be fabric or a seam that's chafing your foot and yes, it would be a cobbler that would need to repair that.
Re: shoe trouble
yeah it's where the seam meets my toe-foot area (ugh i dunno what it's called it's 2 am i can't think of the word)
freezer...i use my freezer :( i don't wanna put my shoe there!
Re: shoe trouble
The only solution is to throw it out. That's all I have to say :(
Re: shoe trouble
Invest in some low-cut liner socks ( they’re made for ballet flats).
Since you have blisters, put a piece of cotton and cover it with a bandage. That way the cotton wont move. Than put on the low-cut liner socks. That should give you 3 layers of protection from the seam.
I’m not sure if you get blisters in the back of your ankle, but those socks have a soft gel thing in that area which protect you in the back of your foot too.
Re: shoe trouble
^ the low cut ballet socks worked for me

I don't think you're just supposed to stick your shoe in... I read about this in Reader's Digest, if you want to stretch your shoes out, you take a plastic bag, fill it up with some water, put it inside your shoes (a bag of water per shoe, obviously) and then put your shoes in the freezer. As the water turns into ice, it expands and will stretch your shoes out. :)
Re: shoe trouble
take ur shoe to a cobler and they can stretch it. or put some vaseline inside the back and around ankle area. it won't damage the shoe and keep u comfortable. put a bandaid on ur blister to protect it.
Re: shoe trouble
My aunt once suggested rubbing melted candle wax in the area of the shoe that's giving u trouble. I tried the tip once for a pair and it worked well.
Re: shoe trouble
yes because we all go to cobbler's and get shoes stretched.
jesus.
Re: shoe trouble
Nooo I just bought these shoes
They’re pretty too
Yeah…I thought about that. Thing is I really really REALLY don’t like wearing socks outside during the summer. It gets waaaay too hot for me. That’s why I wanted to fix the shoe somehow, instead of buying the socks =/
I avoid any shoes that can hurt the back of the foot. Baaad experience, and with these I thought, hey, they look comfortable, let’s buy them! Ugh not a good idea :S
I shudda loosened the shoe up by wearing it around the house first with socks on. I usually do that for my heels though. Should start doing that with every shoe I guess. Umm…I’ll try that idea though. Thanks!
Ooo good idea! I just might try that =D
LOL
Yeah cost of cobbler > cost of shoe. Ummm no…
Imma gonna be wearing other shoes meanwhile while the foot gets better anyways. I just wanna know how to fix the shoe!
Re: shoe trouble
stick a bandaid on it until you break into them
