For clarification purposes - I guess I did not specify that I’m thinking of making strappy heeled sandals. I also don’t think pumps/ closed toed shoes/ peeptoes would look good with the jamevar fabric.

And my saree is absolutely plain other than the banarasi border which is about 1.5" thick. There is no kaam in the body or pallu. My blouse will also be short sleeved (sleeve length will be 3.5"). So basically, there won’t be a lot of the jamevar fabric to show.

Given these specifications, do you think matching clutches and sandals would be a bad idea? Should I just stick with a gold clutch and gold sandals?

I think you should go with gold clutch and gold sandals.. You can never go wrong with it and I’m sure you’ll look amazing add some bling bling jewellery and you are good to go
