Amazingly you would see that the majority of the masses that follow Mullahs are illiterate. Educated people care less for Mullahs and are usually able to discern a lot about their religion on their own.

how long can you keep saying these things? fighting russians etc was a long time ago ... 2 generations ago. What justification exists for the corruption of the next and future generations with that mindset? THAT is what I am talking about.
Why aren't these young curious minds be able to create a hundred million ideas to progress? because they are obsessed with false notions of identity. And who is putting those ideas into their heads? you tell me.

^^what im defending is the 'mullah' title not the midsets of any individuals. the image of the 'mullah' has taken a battering when what they actually are very important members of our society. the world isnt saying dont listen to mullahs its saying dont allow anyone to preach hate and murder. even this simple message was not our own and was missed by all! where does the hate preaching stem from? - the powerful doctrine spread around the soviet afghan invasion.
if the country by its less developed state isnt putting its young in a position to be creative then nothing creative will come out of pakistan. simple. you seem to think all hold back is due to mullahs or religion.
can you imagine creating world class ideas living in a third world country? has anyone ever come out of third world status before? pakistan, india and china are trying.

ummm...jus wondering what countries were the influential jewish guys from, and not taking anything way from Jewish people, but just look at the conditions in Israel, and how they are like the little brother of the United States, and US like a big brother looks out for them, and gives them all they need to succeed, I think that is one of the reasons for this if any muslim country was as backed and supported like this and it wasn't run by a dictator which inevitably ends up being the case, that country wud be prospering as well...n another reason, you hardly see a lot of education in third world countries cuz majority of the successful jews r coming out of israel, england, us, etc....and u wouldn't call those countries underprivileged or being run by dictators . those r sum of the reasons, but by no means shud it be an excuse.

The lunacy with this point of view is that we began enlightened, and regressed...our golden age (far from perfect, but at it's time, the rest of the world had nothing better to offer), was when we were if anything more religious...and still more educated.
Religiosity is just that...and orthogonal to how educated a people are. Been there...done that. Now how do we find our way back? Perhaps not listening to the moronic nay-sayers is a good start. Second, is to do the obvious...

Go to any rural area of Pakistan, and you will hear the illiterate say exactly the same thing. This is no new revelation. In fact, this is all we keep saying.
How about a plan of action? This is just a round about way of saying somebody needs to fix this. That is, somebody other than us....cuz we ain't doing CRAP....
I still feel the intent of this article (given it's simplistic conclusion) is simply to self-abuse. What for?
There's a huge difference between calling an uneducated person an idiot, and helping that person get educated.
