Even if this story is true, this is not the right time to bring it up. This reeks of attempts to gain some 15 minutes of fame at the expense of someone else. Strike while the iron is hot eh?

Is it reasonable to say that PCB or team management were aware of the incident and used the drugs issue to punish Shoaib by giving him extra year compared to Asif?

I was watching the col. on Star news, he was adamant that the incident took place. Apart form the bust up it was also alleged that Shoaib went to the disco that night got drunk and misbehaved with a girl, than came back and knocked on Greg Chappel's door and when his wife opened the door he misbehaved with her as well.

I don't know if all this is true but if it is, the guy needs to be thrown out of Pak cricket for good.

Chappell lodged a complaint

There’s a new twist to the Shoaib-Woolmer controversy.

The Manager of the Rajputana hotel in Jaipur where the Pakistani team stayed during the ICC Champions Trophy last month, has confirmed to TIMES NOW that Shoaib did misbehave with guests and Indian team coach Greg Chappell.

The Hotel manager has told TIMES NOW that Indian team coach Chappell went to the extent of filing a complaint with the local police against Shoaib Akhtar.

As Sanjay Kripal, the General Manger of Rajputana Sharaton Hotel confirms, “He did mention something of that nature to the police.”

Kripal also added, “The matter was not reported to the hotel management. It was reported to the police. There were around 200 police officials. Hence, the matter was dealt by the police.”

The Local police has confirmed that Chappell filed a complaint with the police. Sources have told TIMES NOW that intriguingly the complaint does not mention the name of any individual.

The new revelations certainly give credence to the allegations made by Col Kaul against Shoaib Akhtar.
