**Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar has warned England it will be tough to reproduce their Ashes heroics when they head to his country in October. **

“The conditions are different,” Shoaib told BBC Five Live.

“They’ll find a different atmosphere, less bounce, good pitches for batting and it’s going to be hard work for the fast bowlers.”

“They’re going to have to rely on the reverse swing to get people out. I think it’s going to be a tough series.”

England, buoyed by their 2-1 victory in the Ashes series against Australia, leave for Pakistan on 26 October, with the first Test in Multan beginning on 12 November.

Shaib hailed the England’s performance over the summer but warned they still had plenty to learn.

“England are the best team right now,” he added. “They have good guys around but Pakistan is different conditions,” he added.

“There’s a great opportunity for fast bowlers to learn off those kind of pitches.”

Shoaib missed England’s last tour of Pakistan five years ago, when England clinched the series with a famous third Test victory in Karachi.

But he has witness England’s recent triumphs at close hands as he has been playing county cricket with Worcestershire.

And he believes a first-choice Pakistan attack, including himself, Mohammad Sami and Abdul Razzaq, could cause England’s batting problems.

“We have the ability to swing the ball and destroy any team in a couple of spells,” he added. “Sami can swing the ball at 90mph, Razza can swing the ball, I can swing the ball. We work well as a unit.”

the reasons for which he was out of the team were mouth prostate and break down after every series .

By giving this statement he still hav some disease left which is curable and let c how he cope with his other problem.

What is wrong with such a statement where he is claiming that all paki bowlers including him can swing the ball and can trouble england. All aggressive fast bolwers give such statements when playing mind games before a series. If you dont even want such an aggression from fast bowlers than god knows what you want. Probably recruit some NAAT KHAWAN in the side.

Finally, Woooolmer has issued his statement in favor of Shoaib and he is STILL managing Pakistan cricket team. To him Akhter has matured and is more a team player now.

In another interview, Younis Khan has encouraged the boys to do their homework against Flintof and Pietersen. Flintof and Pietersen are the biggest threat in the view of Khan.

I expect Akhter to (soon) issue a direct statement towards them and then teach them what Fast bowling and swing is all about. (as he has done successafuly in the past against Aus and other best sides)

Akhter is the best in business and his statements beautify cricket journals and books.

So he should perform from his bowling ability not from his mouth.

How come he has 200 ODI and 150 test wkts with an average in early 20’s if he is either injured or is smashed like a donkey every time.
Stop repeating what you hear from other people, grow up and try to judge on your own.
You should not worry about his mouth instead should appreciate his efforts whenever he deliver.
Also plz enlighten me what was so wrong with the statement he gave?

All mind games, he should shut his mouth and concentrate on his fitness.

On a side note, last time when he sent a warning to a certain player, he almost FINNISHED his career, made him his bunny, demoralised him and really made him look FOOL. Yes, it was a great AUSSIE opener Mathew Hayden:p :p.

if he doesnt perform in the games v england and we flop, he is going to have some serious egg on his face! we all know how english media love to use the “famous last words” approach following a victory! mcgrath was a victim of this recently!

anyway. he better get his at together and realise hes not indispensible to the squad. get back to the old Shoaiby (before he turned into a twat), when he used to terrorise batmen with his pace. Sami hopefully is back and i hope Shabbir is picked along with ‘Rana’!
i think these english are ripe for the taking and the Pakis will be well up for this. revenge is in the minds. now lets perform and knock them off their perchs!

Dennis Lilli too advocated simillar behavour. But there were the genious fast bowlers who never hardly lost their min control the likes were Joel Garner, Michael Holding, Courtney Walsh etc and these made the cricket a gentleman’s game.

I also have a few things to share about aggressive fast bowling ,true it does bring glamour to the game, but I wonder how did CourtenyWalsh,JeffThompson,Wasim Akram do it without being so aggressive ,well they used to do their talking with the leatherball not like shoaib Prostatic Mouth .

Dont woory this is my own judgment :o and thats not a secret that he has this behaviour problem from the start of his career and therez nothing wrong in this statement but the problem is why he is giving these statements. Let he ppl appreciate of ur bowling performance not of ur buk buk .

Dont woory this is my own judgment :o and thats not a secret that he has this behaviour problem from the start of his career and therez nothing wrong in this statement but the problem is why he is giving these statements. Let he ppl appreciate of ur bowling performance not of ur buk buk .

I know shoaib has a problem of verbal diarhhea but thats his style. But here thats not the point. He gave a statement where he included all the team members and said that it won’t be easy for England in Pakistan. He didn’t claim that Pakistan is going to beat england by 3-0 and he will grab 60 wickets in the series. And I am simply asking you if there was anything wrong with the statement.
Have you ever heard of playing mind games with your opposition. Alot of times you actually weakens your opponent by playing mind games. Aussies have used this art very effectively until Ashes 05. They use to do it on the field and off the field. Its not neccessary that every bowler like akram or garner will use this tactic. You have no problem when the Gora’s will do it , probably you are too intimidated by them, but if shoaib will do it you would like to hang him.
I guess alot of people like you have become so baised about shoaib that anything he will do or say will go against him, and thats what sickens me. Atleast try to give him credit where he deserves. Thats why our friend* THE GAME *calls people like you Bangwagoners.

i have no doubts that shoaib will let his bowling do the talking aswell. all he needs at test level is a partner-bowler who can keep the other end tight for the batsmen and don't give away 4s on every 2nd ball, sami that is. shoaib indeed is a match winner and i believe its the captain's responsibility to handle him properly on the field. having to sit out for the last 9 months, i'm sure shoaib will be eager to come back into the team and leave his impressions and that too against Eng who are unoficially the #1 team in the world.

I mean if someone really wants to give a warning it should be Inzi or Yoyo. These guys can back it up and you know that they will...for Shoaib it goes back to WC '03.

He is no Mohammad Ali so its better that he keeps it quite and concentrates on the comeback.

Did you only see shoaib bowling in WC 03? If yes you also have seen inzi batting in that tournament.
The point is that players can’t perform everytime in all the matches but with shoiab I guess the expectations are too high everytime which indirectly means that we all admit that he is a match winner:D
